Today marked the first day of MITT 2025 at the Palais de l’Europe in Menton, France. The conference opened with a clear agenda: to provide focused, practical training in thyroid ablation techniques and to foster professional networking among specialists.

The day began with detailed sessions on various ablation methods, including Microwave Ablation (MWA), Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Laser Ablation, and Thermal Ablation. Attendees participated in hands-on workshops designed to give them practical experience with each technique. A dedicated ultrasound workshop, which is integral to guiding ablation procedures, also took place, though spots for this session remain limited.
During the opening remarks, Dr. Giovanni Mauri emphasized the evolving role of thyroid ablation in modern practice:
“MITT 2025 is where knowledge meets innovation. This event is transforming thyroid ablation into a standard of care, setting the stage for a new era in patient treatment.”
Dr. Giovanni Mauri

Dr. Stefano Spiezia also addressed the importance of practical, hands-on experience:
“Every session at MITT 2025 reaffirms our commitment to excellence. By engaging directly in these hands-on workshops, we are not only advancing our skills but also shaping the future of thyroid care.”
Dr. Stefano Spiezia
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive sessions and panel discussions, sharing insights and best practices. The event provided ample opportunities for networking, enabling doctors to exchange ideas and discuss real-world challenges in the field of thyroid ablation.

A series of photographs captured the key moments of Day 1, from technical demonstrations to quiet moments of peer discussion. These images reflect the practical nature of the training and the attendees’ professional commitment.
As Day 1 concludes, the focus now shifts to Day 2, which promises additional training sessions and further opportunities for collaboration. For more details about the event, including registration and future updates, please visit www.medtechasia.org and follow our LinkedIn Page.
